About Me

My photo
James
I loved the strip "Calvin and Hobbes" growing up, and this is my homage to it. It was such a great strip because it reached both towering comedic highs and sunk to depths of grief, loss, and bleak monotony, all shown through the eyes of a boy and his tiger. You almost believed that Bill Watterson captured a spark of childhood, even though the main character had the vocabulary of a law student and was most likely psychotic. I'm not sure if I'm ever going to do the original justice, but at least I'll do my best to show the seemingly idyllic world of being a child for what it is--not alright. Sorry, I couldn't help it.
